Updated September 2026 · Brand & Mascot Guidelines v2.1
The logotype is the signature of the brand. It appears on every surface the company owns, and it is never redrawn, restyled, or rebuilt from scratch. Always place the approved file from this kit.

The logotype is used in three primary treatments: white on brand blue, white on brand orange, and black on white. These three cover almost every real placement. Monochrome is for cases where color is unavailable or unreliable, such as single-color print, embroidery, or engraving.
White on brand blue
White on brand orange
Black on white
Mono, white on black
Do not stretch or squash the logotype.
Do not add shadows, glows, or other effects.
Do not re-set the wordmark in another typeface.
Do not recolor the logotype.
Do not rotate or flip it.
Do not place it where it cannot be read.
The clear space around the logotype is defined by the height of the capital letter in the wordmark. Nothing enters that zone: no text, no graphics, no edge of a photograph, no other logo.
Recommended size
149 mm / 424 px wide
Minimum size
76 mm / 216 px wide
Below the minimum the lowercase Buddy loses its counters and the trademark mark disappears. If a placement will not take 216 px of width, use the app icon instead of the logotype.

Brand mascot
Buddy is a friendly, bespectacled dog in a navy vest and orange tie. He is the friend who reads the fine print: not a salesman, not an advisor, and never the loudest thing on the screen. He explains, he does not advise.
Buddy is a trademark asset. Always place an approved file from this kit. Never redraw, trace, or approximate him in another tool, and never use his fur, vest, or tie colors for type, backgrounds, or interface.
Buddy exists in two forms with the same proportions, colors, and wardrobe. If it lives in the product or the identity, it is 2D. If it moves, it is 3D. A static ad, a social post, a thumbnail, or a web banner is 2D, even when it promotes a video.

Website, app, logos and app icon, store listings, digital ads, social, email, print. Anything that does not move.

Commercials, brand films, video advertising, motion graphics, end cards. Nothing static, not even a frame grab.
Three approved angles. Front is the default. The three-quarter views are for layouts where Buddy addresses adjacent content. Every asset is supplied on white and as a transparent cutout.

Three-quarter right
Buddy sits on white by default and needs no container. On any brand color he must sit inside a white containing shape: an arch, a circle, or a rounded rectangle. Every placement on a color uses the transparent cutout.

Fifty-two wardrobe variants cover the situations the product speaks to. The character underneath never changes. Only the wardrobe and props move. The kit includes a curated selection; the full library is available to partners on request.

Fine Print
Do not recolor Buddy or his wardrobe.
Do not stretch or squash his proportions.
Do not place him on a color without a white containing shape.
Do not add drop shadows, glows, or outlines.
Do not mix the 2D and 3D builds in one composition.
Do not crop through his face or remove the glasses.
The icon is the shorthand for the whole brand, recognizable with no words attached. It is the 2026 update: the 2D Buddy with his clipboard on brand blue. Place the supplied export at the nearest size. Never rescale the 1024 down by hand.
Real exports at 1024, 180, 120, 87, 60, and 40 px
Built from the 2D Buddy only. Never the 3D render.
The background is brand blue, #2688E3, exactly.
Never put the icon inside another shape, circle, or badge.
Never add a border, shadow, label, or overlay to the icon.
For the favicon and social avatars, use the same export set.
Four colors. Blue and orange lead; white and black are the ground they sit on. This is the whole brand palette. Never mix, tint, shade, or invent a color, and never apply gradients or color effects to the logotype.

Secondary colors carry meaning inside the product. They never appear behind the logotype, never carry a headline, and never replace blue or orange as a brand color.
Outfit for anything read as a title, label, or button. Inter for anything read as a sentence. Never a headline in Inter, never a paragraph in Outfit. Both are open source under the SIL Open Font License and served from Google Fonts.
